IT'S LONG PAST TIME FOR WOMEN TO ACHIEVE JUSTICE AND EQUALITY

On Wednesday, September 23, 2020, I will be kicking off the Women and Justice webinar series sponsored by the National Council of Jewish Women of Canada.

In my talk, I will describe women’s historic experience of subordination and ingrained misogyny, share the successes of the Women’s Movement since the 1970’s, and lay out a list of To Do’s that should be on every feminist’s action list.

EQUALITY OF POWER: SOLUTIONS TO THE UNFAIR TREATMENT OF WOMEN

The Toronto Reference Library has invited me to present a lecture series on Equality as part of its On Civil Society series, which gives me the opportunity to share and discuss some long-percolating ideas.

I decided to focus on the theme of Equality of Power, because I have concluded that this is the solution to the unfair treatment of women

I will be encouraging a lively and thought-provoking audience discussion.

Each lecture will focus on a different subject within the main theme:

Tuesday Sept. 25  Violence against women as a tool of control

Tuesday Oct. 23    Empowering women at work

Tuesday Nov. 20:    Challenging the centres of power
